Pine Creek Nature Trail formerly known as the Nesda
Trail is a 2 km hiking trail with a variety of things to see and
enjoy. It is located 6 km north of hydro dam on Highway 304
near Powerview, Manitoba.  Enjoy the fresh scent of new
growth in the spring or the beauty of multiple colored leaves
in the fall, see the seasonal activity of the beavers at the dam
and enjoy a picnic lunch along the way.


Manitoba Hydro Dam Tours are available upon request.  To
arrange a free tour please call (204) 367-5113 and arrange at
least 2 days in advance.

The
TransCanada Trail is 83.7 km long ranging from the
Old Pinawa Dam to Grand Beach Provincial Park.   This trail
covers many trails, bridges and a beautiful array of scenery
and wildlife to enjoy along the way.


We are along
La Verendrye Trail which spans from West
Hawk Lake on Highway 307 and then turns to Highway 11
and goes through Powerview-Pine Falls to Victoria Beach and
goes onto Highway 59 all the way into Winnipeg.

Summer Activities

Pine Falls Golf Course is a beautifully manicured 9-hole
course with a putting green and driving range.  Complete
with clubhouse and a wonderful indoor and outdoor eating
area.  Tournaments are held throughout the summer.  
Instructor available with appointment for lessons .  Regular
weekly golf nights for male female members and youth.

St. Georges Museum showcases the historical information
of the area.  You may view the area:

July - August:        Tuesday - Saturday
                      9:30 a.m. - noon
                      1:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

                      1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

September to Thanksgiving weekend viewing is available on
Sundays only.

Grand Beach Provincial Park boasts one of the nicest
beaches in North America with white sand beaches and
dunes in the water that can leave play areas for small children
in shallow water.  There is wheelchair access to the beach.  
The park has picnic shelters, a restaurant, concession
services, beach volleyball courts, a campground and an
outdoor amphitheatre to cater to the needs of all  outdoor
enthusiasts.

Thunder Mountain Waterslide Park (enter at the east gate
of the Grand Beach Provincial Park) is a newly developed
area that has 450 foot water twisters, the only speed slide in
Manitoba, and the only whitewater rafting ride.  Admission is
charged.  The park is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.  
The season of operation is from the end of June to

Traverse Bay, Albert Beach, Hillside Beach, Patricia
Beach
, Bel Air, Grand Marais and Victoria Beach all have
their own special attractions to draw you to their cottage
communities.  You can connect with each of these areas off
of Highway 59.

Winter activities

Maskwa Snowmobile Club is an organized group of
sledders that has groomed trails throughout the area.  To get

Within 30 minute drive

Muck Hill is off of Bouvier Trail and is great for sliding and
snowboarding.  This area is open to the public at all times.
