4P Festival a five day event based around the September long weekend that has
something for all ages to enjoy.  This event has been ever growing and has been
running for 25 consecutive years.  The events take place in Pine Falls, Powerview and
St. Georges.  Make sure to book your accommodations at one of our local
establishments.

The history behind the name --

The name comes from the Four major industries that surround the Town of
Powerview -Pine Falls and the R.M. of Alexander.
PAPER

The Tembec Paper Group located in
Powerview-Pine Falls, which was built in
1927 was originally called Manitoba Paper
Company.  It produces 179,000 metric
tons of newsprint per
year.
POWER

The Pine Falls Generating Station is the last
dam to use the Winnipeg River's abundant
waters before reaching Lake Winnipeg.  
Construction of the dam was
completed in 1952.
PICKEREL

The Winnipeg River is famous for its vast
supply of pickerel fishing.  It attracts
fishing enthusiasts from all over Canada
and the United States.
PEA

The beautiful community of St. Georges,
which is located 5 kms. east of
Powerview-PIne Falls is home to some of the
world's finest pea farms.
